Goin' to the chapel....

This is Katelin - also known as KK around here - and we love her a LOT.

She is getting married to "Mr. Ryan" whom we also love.

This weekend Landry and I made a trip to West Columbia, Texas to attend her bridal shower. As I was watching her open each gift and be so beautiful and gracious I thought about all the things that I would love to "gift" to this sweet couple.

My wish for you, "Mrs. Dudley" ...

that you always look at each other with the eyes you fell in love with
that you ignore the flaws and embrace the imperfections
that you create memories in moments that last a lifetime

that you celebrate the successes and learn from the trials
that you are blessed with children that enrich and enlighten your lives
that you let Him guide you in your love for Ryan

that you trust in each other
that you honor each other even when it gets a little tough
that you create a partnership allowing each other to lead

that you create YOUR own fairytale
that you laugh, cry, and rejoice always

that you surround yourself and your MARRIAGE with those that lift you up and support you.

We love you and can't wait to be part of your big day and more importantly your lives together!

Tiny Tales Thursday...

Sadly, it seems my kids are allergy prone. Not the severe peanut kind - just the run-of-the-mill pollen type which leads to a constant runny nose. Radley is a big kid so he can grab a tissue and blow all by himself. Emmy thinks she is a big kid, grabs tissues and tries to blow all be herself. Most of the time we get the "sucker" out and assist with the process saying "gross" at the end of each....ehm...session.

The other day her nose was running and she ran and grabbed a "tis-you" promptly "blew" her nose and looked at the results glanced up at me and said, "ew, gwoss!"

Radley is a pretty smart kid. :) He has known his address for a while but every now and then we have to remind him. The other day he was playing store with Pops and typing in our address on the calculator. He ran into living room to let us know how smart he was...

Rad: Mom! I typed in our address.
Me: Way to go buddy.
Rad: Yeah. But I had to use the zero instead.
Me: What do you mean?
Rad: Our address is 1-Oh-Oh-3... but I used the zero because they look a like.

I can already hear him correcting one of use when we are giving our address and say "one, zero, zero, three"...

Ow-eee....

Emmy is adorable.

She is delightful.

She captures the hearts of just about everyone that sees her.

But poor darling has some skin "issues". She has eczema and it flairs up in every season. We have ointment and fancy lotion that help a little, but it still sticks around.

It is especially fond of her knuckles and what we thought started as eczema that got attacked by a mosquito has turned into a line of fever blisters ON HER HAND.

Our solution has been to bandage her up like a gymnast/mini boxer.

It hasn't slowed her down a bit.

But it looks AWFUL.

She's kinda obsessed with her band aids but I'm kinda obsessed with this going away fast.

We took her to the doctor again on Monday and they decided that "maybe" it did look a little infected so we get a round of antibiotics.

Thankyouverymuch.

It is drying up nicely now so hopefully by next week we will be back to digging in the dirt.
