41 Years and counting...

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!!

Forty-one years ago today you got married and started your life together!

Since then you've created a life filled with the good times (and maybe even some bad) and set an example for others to follow.

You have three of the cutest, smartest and greatest kids ever born. (especially that little girl in the pig tails)

You also have 3 of the cutest grandkids ever born, too!

You've seen each of us (AND many of our friends) through our own good and bad times and we could not have asked for better parents than you.

You are loved by so many people that count you as blessings each and every day!

We love you tons!! Happy Anniversary and we pray for 41 more years!!

If you want to leave an anniversary message to Mom and Dad just leave a comment!

The 5 W's.... (and an H)

This post was inspired by our first trip to the public library. There is just something about the smell of all those books that I just love... but WHO doesn't? It was Radley's first trip to the library and he loved it!

Of course he immediately found a Thomas book ... WHAT in the world am I going to do with that boy and his love for trains!!

WHEN do we discover our love for books? I have very distinct memories of going to the library when I was little. I had so much fun picking out books and reading them and always insisted on returning them into the slot just so I could smell the library air! I know... you are all probably thinking WHERE in the world does this child come from?

I also remember Mrs. Vite reading books to us in elementary school. I would sit between Craig Schwartinsky and Wayne Blackburn and eat up every bit of their attention. Mrs. Vite was the best story reader... she used great voices and I could have listened to her for hours. I also remember Mrs. Sadler reading us Ramona Quimby books a little at a time... those were the best days!

And then we go through a "I don't like reading phase" and I can't for the life of me figure out WHY we do that. I could get lost in a book for hours and have read some books over and over and over again. I am so ready for Radley to be able to read through chapter books so we can read a little bit every night.

Right now, it's pretty much planes, trains and automobiles! :) (and yes, Radley and Daddy were twinkies... a little boy insisted and HOW could anyone resist that request?!?)

but I wouldn't want it any other way!

Happy Monthday...

Happy Two Month Birthday, Emersyn!!

Can you believe it??You are two months old today! Where has the time gone? I only have two more weeks at home with you until I return to work and I am just not ready!!

So... what have you been up to this month?

You are still a great sleeper!! We put you down between 9:30 and 10pm every night and will sleep until 4am or even 6am in the morning! Keep that up, sister! I bet you'll be sleeping through the night by your next monthday! (Unless I have just jinxed your habit)

You are cooing all the time and make the sweetest noises. You are much more alert and will stay awake and play for a while each day.

You don't love "tummy time" but you are getting stronger and stronger and will soon be holding that head up all by yourself. You love getting attention from your big brother and anyone that will love on you.

You have outgrown NB diapers and some of your NB clothes. We just cleaned out your drawers and loaded in the new supply of never ending clothing this weekend. You go for your well-check on Monday and I can't wait to see your stats!!

Update:
Height: 21 1/2 inches (25th percentile)
Weight: 10 lbs 8 oz (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 40 cm (50th percentile)

So glad that you are a healthy, happy little baby girl! We love you bunches!
