Happy Birthday William Radley King!

You bring so much joy, love, light, laughter and love to our lives! We are thankful for you each and every day and cannot even begin to attempt to share with you all that you mean to us. This year you have taken on the role of big brother and we are so proud of how you care for and about Emersyn. Her whole being just lights up when you are around and although she may touch your toys a little more than you like, you love having her around to share this crazy world!

You are a sensitive soul and I pray that you are always so tender hearted, but grow a skin thick enough to take on this world. Your imagination is endless and we love being able to grow ours along with yours. You really are so smart (and not just because I'm your mom). You connect things so quickly and you enjoy learning new things. You are a little too hard on yourself, but I pray that you continue to seek achievement while allowing yourself to be human. May you always know the joy that life brings you and may love surround you all the days of your life.

You suffered your first great loss this year and I am amazed at how well you understand. You continue to talk about and pray for Lola and keep her in your life in the sweetest ways. The other day you told me you remembered how she smelled and that made me happy. Oh how I pray that her memory stays alive in you - you and Emmy were her greatest joy and her time with you was much too short.

You love the following: Cars, dinosaurs, GiGi, Pops, Mommy, Daddy, Emmy, ice cream, school, new shoes, writing your name, reading books, movies, playing outside, helping Daddy, cooking, Pete, Bok, Cousin Owen, Uncle Jody and Aunt "Jonya" and of course Kayla, Caroline, Annaliese and Karli Bug.


And we love you!

A mile in Mom's shoes...

When I was little I used to love to play in Mom's shoes. I can distinctly remember two pairs: a platform wedge with cork board that are completely back in style but unfortunately no longer with us and a shiny pair of red high heels that I was going to wear to prom with a white dress and red bow. Ha!

Well the other day I caught two cuties playing in MY shoes...

He did pretty well! And his feet took up half the shoe. I know I have freakishly small feet, but it makes me sad that he is growing up so fast!

He did have them on the wrong feet, so that made me feel a little better. ;)

And look at Miss Priss!!!

She got two good steps in before she fell over. I didn't let her play too long - didn't need a twisted ankle. 

She loves playing in shoes - mine, Ryan's, Radley's and hers. Whenever I get out her shoes for the day she instantly tries to put them on. We may be in trouble with her love for foot ware. 

I guess every body loves a good shoe, huh? 

Tiny Tales Thursday...

Radley has a rough few days of listening. Sheesh is it frustrating. I feel like he is trying to test how far he can go without getting in trouble...and if you know me (or Ryan) at all... it's not that far.

The funny part though are some of his "excuses" and although we don't laugh where he can see us, I do appreciate the effort. He also has the perfect "who me" face down, that I **think** he gets from his Uncle Pete.

Some of the things we've heard lately...

1. Before we even "reprimand him" ... I'm sorry I not listening.
2.  It was an accident! (Ummm, you accidentally didn't hear us?)
3.  Oh? Is that what you said? I didn't hear you. (Typical male)
4. Mommy, let's play cars, and then I brush my teeth. Okay? That's the deal. (Ummm, I wasn't aware this was a negotiation.)

Needless to say, timeouts have been many and giggles have been hidden.

And now ladies and gentleman...I would like to debut the first EMERSYN KING Tiny Tale.

We were going through Ryan's moms things this week. This is a long tedious process because she has so much stuff that is extremely delicate. Emmy and Radley were playing around us and I said that I dropped something. Emmy stops playing, looks up and says (with hands to face) "Uh oh!!!"
