Well, my lovely Landry - you are 14 months old. And in keeping with every-other-month post 1 year tradition... it is time for an update on you.
You are seriously the happiest child. You wake up and go to bed with a smile and while there are some tantrums in between, you are a doll. And clearly you are still adorable.
Walking is over-rated. At least to you. Part of me can't wait for to take those first steps because of how much easier it will be to get around, but I also love that it still means you are a baby. A ridiculously cute baby. The lack of walking doesn't keep you from accomplishing any set task. You can get anywhere you choose and as quickly as you want.
Food is still a favorite - you love attempting to feed yourself and if you see a baby fork definitely let us know that YOU want to use it. You tried and loved asparagus this month. LOVED it. You also prefer a straw cup to a sippy cup - such a big kid. :)
You are starting to repeat our words when we ask - mama, dada, nigh-nigh (night night), bye bye, baby, and "MMM" (Emmy) are the words you repeat best. Radley is kind of a difficult word, but you try. You love telling people "hi" and waving/blowing kisses. You also give the BEST kisses ever. Like ever.
Your favorite game is still peek-a-boo and you also love singing songs. If you're happy and you know it, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and The Wheels on the Bus are the favorites - complete with hand motions. I have caught you playing with Emmy's dolls and even rocking them like they are your own baby. You are great at knocking over blocks, destroying trains, "reading books" or doing whatever else your brother and sister are doing.
You LOVE them. They can make you laugh the hardest and are still patient with your love of pulling hair. (Which actually sent you to your first experience of time out).
You still prefer to just be put to bed instead of being rocked. You'll let me rock you for about 1 minute and then point to your bed. You still sleep with a paci but that's about the only time you need one. You take the best naps and sleep late - kinda perfect if you ask me.
We LOVE you so much Lillian Landry King!
