A field trip that is! Radley's class went on their first field trip in preparation for their crazy fun summer ahead and I decided to tag along. I met them at the Bryan Civic Center and guess who was the "line leader"? :)
It was crazy cold and windy for May - like 50 degrees cold.

This was the biggest smile I could persuade Miss Caroline.
He was beyond excited - at that silly point that is almost over the edge. I seriously pray diligently for his teachers every day. :) He was practicing his ninja dance moves at this point.
We made it inside and he had saved a seat just for me.
As the other classes were finding their seats I spotted an old HS classmate with her class. Hadn't seen her in 10+ years - isn't it funny how life works out? She looked the exact same and was still as sweet as could be and about 1 inch taller than her kindergarteners.
Then the lights went out and the party began.
He was THRILLED.
And who wouldn't be thrilled to see a pirate....sing songs....about pirate stuff...and giggle hysterically every time he said "booty".
After the show, we headed to a local park where the kids enjoyed a picnic lunch and the teachers enjoyed watching them play their hearts out before a long, quiet, uninterrupted nap time. It was basically too cold to take any real pictures.
Radley LOVED his first field trip and I loved being able to share it with him and witness him in his "element" of fun.
(I also immediately called Jenni and declared her a saint for being a kinder teacher for 10+ years. She really is the best).
