Tuesday and Wednesday were spent doing much of the same. The boys went golfing one morning while the girls hit the cute shops and boutiques. We grabbed quick naps (EVERY.SINGLE.ONE.OF.US!) and then headed back to the sandy shores.
I really think I could live with a backyard made of sand. Sure, it gets everywhere, but the kids have so much fun and entertained for hours.
Ryan decided he wanted to dig a giant hole on the beach. Landry was lost in there... this picture was taken after they filled it in a bit. I tried talking Radley into letting us cover him up to his head, but he politely declined.
I can definitely say that the beach is our happy place.
It's calming.
It's fun.
It's warm.
It's beautiful.
It's wonderment.
It's perfect.
Especially when it's spent with pretty awesome people.
We dried off, changed clothes and headed to Florida so that we could come back into Alabama and actually take a picture! (Because, yes... I am crazy).
Then we hopped back into the car and headed to the Wharf. We grabbed dinner, which Ryan won with the most amazing sandwich. (And yes, sometimes it's a competition. I had SERIOUS food envy). And then we a ride on the ferris wheel...
and entertainment with the gravity defying acts of Radley, Ryan and Emmy....
and ended our evening with dancing in the street at a street party.
And then it was time for our last day...
