Season finale...

Fall soccer has come to an end and I think it's safe to say that as much as we love watching this kid on the field... we are also happy to have those mornings to sit around and do nothing.

I really struggle with the thought that he has to pick NOW if he wants soccer to part of his life. I grew up in a place where we could play any sport, be in any organization, and also have time to do nothing on the weekends. I feel like these days kids are being forced to pick their sport at the age of 6, commit every weekend to playing and miss out on the part of life where nothing is involved.

Do you ever feel like that?

For now, I like the blurred pictures for the momarazzi camera, the friendships gained and the occasion play where we look at each other and say, "Wow - they may actually get this game."

This team has been so fun to watch and we've gotten a lot of lessons from the growing pains of playing with people that have advanced skill.

Hopefully we will see them all back in the spring!

These two are especially fun to watch play together - they genuinely work together to make plays so Alyssa and I have decided they are stuck with each other for life.
