Today we got to kick off the beginning of the holidays with not one but TWO parties. First up, a party with Radley's DL program. I'm not sure anything can be cuter than first graders being escorted into a room. Some of them were totally okay with it and others were clearly not into the idea of linking arms.
The teachers and parents did a great job setting everything up, bringing goodies and getting the place decked out for some fun.
There was just a **few** people inside that classroom.
After lunch we were treated to a show - a legitimate 10 minute performance of some classic Christmas tunes in English and Spanish. Radley was the lucky one that got to play Rudolf and if you know my kid you know that he LOVED the extra tiny bit of attention he got.
He was supposed to start the song with a little solo of "you know Dasher and Dancer, etc..." but the class was so excited that they all joined in midway. He handled it well, but shot me a look of, "That is MY part." Totally my kid.
Happy Holidays from CHE First Grade Dual Language
At one point during the program all the toothless kids got to sing "All I want for Christmas"... I couldn't wrangle them all up for a picture but I did manage to grab these two.
Mrs. Vega and Señora Krisciunas are basically the best gift he could get. We hit the jackpot of first grade teachers and he couldn't be happier!
After school, we headed to dance where Emmy got to dazzle us with a mini Christmas performance before they settled into an ornament exchange.
Radley and Landry were invited up for some parachute fun... and by invited, I mean they just decided to join. Please note Landry's leg warmers and ballet shoes. She insisted on being a dancer like "my Emmy".
The tiny dancers then circled up and oohed and ahhed over all the fun ornaments.
Emmy got an "Anna elf" which Landry immediately claimed as her own.
Let the merriment commence!
