We made a quick visit to Bethlehem last night with our besties, the Munsons. Their church hosts this event for the kids of CBC and it's pretty much the cutest thing ever.
Well, besides this blonde and brunette bestie pair.
They had tons of tables set up with a variety of activities for the kids to do, like make bread...
create a manger scene...
they even got to sit with Mary and Joseph in the manger.
(Baby Jesus hadn't been born yet).
There was also a petting zoo (!) but my hands were a little tied up protecting 2 girls I know from the cutest rabid baby goats, pigs, and fluffy chickens. After touching said animals we headed to the market and brought home some fresh green beans, mushrooms, potatoes, onion, asparagus and carrots (which were pre-washed and in plastic bags... just like in the days of yore).
And that was it. An hour of our week spent some of our favorite people on the planet. Thanks, Christmas, for bringing the type of gifts that you can't find in a store. Extra time with friends and family - all in the name of the greatest gift of all.
