Tiny Tales Thursday

One of my former students/current friends gave me the great idea for a weekly blog which will now be "Tiny Tales Thursday". I'll try to highlight the funniest moments of the past days/weeks in one simple post.

So here goes...

This weekend Radley was not using the listening skills that we all know he is capable of using. This had been going on for a while and I was losing my temper. I'm pretty sure at one point I had asked him to pick up his toys for the 10000th time and began to use my "mom voice". He looked up at me with those giant brown eyes and as innocent as could be said, "Be quiet, Mommy, Emersyn sleeping in your tummy." He won.

Yesterday was Ryan's birthday and Radley was happy to help him unwrap the gift that he purchased for his Dad. It just happened to be a Lightening McQueen race car (one of 7 that we now own). Ryan was overjoyed to witness the thoughtfulness of Radley when he proclaimed that, "Daddy will share his toy with me".

My brother Jeremy/Uncle Pete (long story on why we call him by a name that is clearly not Jeremy) watched Radley while we went out for Ryan's birthday dinner. For those of you that know the Guercio kids well, we had the pleasure of being raised with music all around. Disney songs, golden oldies, musicals, etc... were always a part of our lives. One of our favorite cassette tapes was similar to Salty the Songbook and was all about God's animals. Jeremy/Pete has been known to bust out in these songs from time and is currently teaching Radley "the beaver" song. We came home finding them singing this in bed. Maybe one of the cutest moments ever.

This morning we were in our usual routine of wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast, brush teeth, etc... when Radley decided that he needed to go to the potty. He raced over, sat on his tiny toilet and proceeded with business. Next thing I hear is "oh no... look at Merv!" I was a little concerned about the combination of a potty break and a white cat, but was a bit relieved to find that Merv was just happily perched on top of our TV in the living room. Tattling begins at a young age...

And for the last tiny tale of the week... Sarah Giles (http://www.butterflychaserphotography.com/) took our final pictures as a family of three in April. She created a movie of her final edits and sent me the link... I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!!

Until next time...
