We've had a busy two weeks and here's a run down from my phone's view.
Sunday Funday means church and coordinated cuties!
This one in particular is especially cute these days!
We crossed another item off of Radley's summer bucket list - homemade popsicles (thanks Sonya and Jody). Landry ate every single bite.
Then Ryan left for a work trip.
For TEN days.
Which is kind of a long time.
But, we were treated with a visit from KK which makes everyone happy!
And as if that wasn't enough, she treated this kid to his first school supply shopping trip.
I tried to keep the kids as happy as possible while Daddy was away and homemade blueberry banana pancakes brings a smile to everyone's face.
Someone is having a hard time listening these days.
"I will listen the first time" x10 was the solution this night.
This method seems to be working (fingers crossed) ... something about five additional sentences each time he doesn't listen seemed to serve as a great motivator.
We were treated to some cold rain showers this week. Playing in the rain meant we got to cross off one more item from the bucket list and a warm bath, too.
At the request of Radley, we are getting ready for school by practicing sight words and hand writing. Emmy is working on her letters, too and gets so happy when she traces them correctly.
By the end of the 10 days, we had found notes from Ryan all over the house and as sweet as that was... we were ready for him to be home!
But before that, we got to celebrate Anna's birthday - can't believe that she is FOUR!
We were surprising Ryan at the airport. This meant that bedtime would be delayed by at least two hours and then his flight was delayed. BUT...
it was totally worth it!
He got home on Wednesday and took Thursday and Friday off, so what did we do?
We went grocery shopping and did a quick session of power freezing of course!
We are romantic like that.
Oh and we surprised the kids with a trip to the pool!
(That blob on the top right is Emmy UNDER water!)
On Friday morning we woke them up with the news of a SURPRISE day trip! Landry could clearly not hold back her excitement!
Firs stop was the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham, Texas. This was our first time to take the tour and it was so much fun! Lots goes into make the best ice cream in the world - and if seeing isn't believing, then just choose your flavor at the end!
And what better way to work off that ice cream than with a dip in a pool? (The Blue Bell Aquatic center in Brenham actually - pretty much everything has the Blue Bell name).
I'd say the day was a success.
:)
And that's us in an instant!
