Whew.
Week two of summer is down and I am already exhausted. I need a break from our break! How many of you feel the same? We hit the ground running straight out of the gate, so I am excited about the next couple of weeks of nothing. :)
We signed Radley up from one more sports camp through the City of CS and he once again had a blast. This week was tennis - much smaller and more controlled than the chaos of all those mini golfers. He actually did pretty great ... he must get his athleticism from me.
(And by me, I mean Ryan).
They had the kids doing some pretty crazy drills, but they all kept up and had a blast. Radley's favorite game was "jail"... I think you were trying to hit the ball over the net and make the other person miss. If you missed, then you went to jail. Radley apparently never went to jail. (Let's hope that's a lifetime statement we can make). He also made some new friends and has asked me to look up their numbers so they can hang out this summer.
As soon as tennis was over each day, we booked it back home to make it to Backyard Bible Club. One of our local churches in the area was hosting this in 18 neighborhoods in BCS and ours was one of them. Neighborhood kids all met in the backyard of one of their parishioners and they hosted a mini VBS. It was awesome and Radley took away some great lessons.
They broke the morning up with games and activities followed by a bible story and lesson. All of the kids did great and Radley was super sad when it was over.
The only thing that would have made the week busier would have been a visit from the Tooth Fairy. He has about wiggled that second loose tooth to death, but the thing is still hanging in there. Hopefully it will come out soon because he is having too much fun playing with it.
Looking forward to a quiet week!
