Radley had another soccer game this weekend and his team played pretty well, but they weren't the most entertaining part of the game. The real thing to watch was the new Assistant Coach, Coach E. King.
Chris (the actual assistant coach) was out of town for a family event, so Emmy decided that she needed to fill his shoes and "help Daddy", and she meant business.
She kept chiming in after everything Ryan said and I so wish I had brought my big lens so I could capture her facial expressions.
Landry was content as the snack taster.
But Emmy stayed on those sidelines and kept trying to blow her whistle if they didn't do something she liked. This was clearly an intense moment - arms crossed, lips on whistle, ready to react.
She kept watching the plays and would yell, "Hustle!" "Get the ball!" as if she knew exactly what that meant.
And then she'd turn to the bench… no telling what she was saying here.
Oh, and her hands were always on her hips.
Meanwhile, Landry was more interested in getting the sun out of her face...
and Radley was sick of the heat...
but trying his hardest to keep coach happy.
She has already said she will be returning to her post next week…
whether Chris is back or not.
;)
