Date Night (pt 1)...

Friday was a big night at the King's...it was DATE NIGHT!

Someone had a beautiful new dress to wear.
A fancy one of a kind necklace to put on.
Some sparkly shoes.
And a hot date lined up.

Yes, Emersyn and Ryan went on their first official date to the Daddy/Daughter Dance supporting our local Children's Museum.

Doesn't she look adorable?
(the humidity worked in our favor to produce those sweet curls)

This necklace was something Ryan and I planned on giving our daughter long before she arrived - like 5 years. My engagement ring had two "hidden diamonds" on the band and one had to be removed so that the ring would fit flush to my wedding band. We saved that little diamond to give to our daughter. It sits atop a pearl since that is Emmy's birthstone.
(She wouldn't sit still long enough for me to take a good picture which is also why the one above is the bathroom. The necklace also lasted about 2 minutes around her neck before she tried to remove it herself.)

After everyone got all primped and ready to go, we had to pose for some first date pictures.

This one just melts my heart.

I see many more pictures taken in front of this fireplace...
first day of kindergarten, first communion, first real date, first prom...all will come too soon!

I told Emmy that you didn't have to kiss on a first date, but she made an exception for her Daddy!

Once I was done playing momarazzi capturing precious moments with my camera, they headed out to meet up with the Munson crew. We had torrential downpours on Friday night, so for our girls to still look this adorable meant that the Daddy's were doing great!

The event was held at the museum so all the kids got to play at the "centers" throughout the night. They also had extra activities like tile painting, tshirt decorating, and painting but our girls stuck close to the dance floor!

And who could blame them with partners as good looking as this!
