If you've been around here long enough, you know we have a pretty consistent bedtime routine.
Time varies but it's usually between 8-8:30. If we have a late night one night then the next night is early (sometimes 7:30). #mommaneedssomequiet
This is basically a flawless process.
Because our lovely Landry can stay up until 1am and has. While everyone else is sleeping. One night we built a fort for the kids and around midnight Ryan went to check on them and came and got me to go look at "something." That "something" was Landry, wide awake, with a renegade iPad, watching Sofia while her brother and sister were snoring.
She will appear in our room and do the "creepy stare" that basically makes you pee your pants.
Last night was no exception to the Landry stall game.
8pm: Everyone in bed.
8:10: feet shuffling down the hall
8:11: "Landry, go back to bed."
8:12: Landry back in bed
8:18: Feet shuffling down the hall... small head peeking into my room.
Me: Landry...what are you doing?
Landry: I don't know....
Me: You need to go to bed.
Landry: But I CAN'T....
Me: Why not?
Me: Because why?
Landry: I don't know.
Me: Baby, go back to bed.
Landry: But I need my song.
Me: Ok, I will meet you there in 5 minutes. (Bc sometimes if I give her a time, she ends up falling asleep).
8:45: Feet shuffling down the hall...
Landry: But you said 5 minutes and you been here and ....
Me: Ok...I will go now and sing your song.
Landry: Hold me.
I sweep her up, I sing her song, she sleeps all night.
And is totally grumpy in the morning.
