Tiny Tales Thursday...

Just a few one-liners this week...

We get to eat dinner as a family of 5 Friday-Sunday nights (Ryan is out of town the remaining nights of the week) so there is always a lot of chatter. Radley and Emmy like to play the "question game" and have everyone answer things like favorite movie, color, holiday, etc. Last week the bigs were telling us about their days at school and Landry pipes in, "Hey, guys... guess what?!" and there was just something so grown-up from that tiny voice. Ryan and I just looked at each other across that table and I'm pretty sure were both thinking how grateful we are for all the "guess what's" to come.


Emersyn insisted on sitting in the front row of church last week, which is actually fine with us because the kids pay attention better, get to see what's going on and have a better understanding of church. After Ryan and I had taken communion and right before the final blessing she leans over to Ryan and loudly whispers, "Hey, Daddy... can I try that Body of Christ next week?" I'm still laughing.


One of Ryan's all-time favorite movies is Forrest Gump. We quote it to each other during different situations and it just never gets old. Every Monday morning Landry asks about Ryan and this week Emmy in an almost Sally Field replies, "He's on vacayshun." All I have to say is he better not be! :)
