Practically Perfect Paw Print...

The last few weeks have been full of list checking, to do list making, supply buying, game organizing and last minute running for the kids Paw Print Festival! Lisa and I were so glad that Saturday morning had arrived for the big day! The sun was shining, the volunteers had arrived and Holly had supplied us with coffee!

This was my second year to co-chair this event so I didn't spend much time snapping pics! I did force these three to stop and smile for a split second and then basically never saw Radley again.

Except when he had me thrown in Paw Print Prison.

Ryan and mom arrived after Emmy's soccer game with two smiling faces ready to have some fun but not before I snagged them for a quick picture.

Emersyn clearly gained some street cred with this ink.

She is also not afraid to go mouth first into a donut. Seriously, if you are in the school festival business - do this. We get day old donuts DONATED (like 20 dozen y'all) and tie strings around them and dangle them from a "donut tree" made from PVC pipe. They let 3-4 kids go at a time and race to eat their donut first but everyone is clearly a winner.

Ryan took all these pictures and I teared up at how much fun they were having. Emersyn LOVES her sweet friend Macy and Macy had been asking for Emmy all morning. When she arrived you would have thought they hadn't seen each other in years, not less than 24 hours.

And Landry was happy right next to her bestie all day, too. The Munsons are the greatest for coming to support this event and spend their day with us!

It may have been a crazy last month...

a lot of long nights...

days of scrambling to get it done...

but these smiles and squeals and silly prizes and fun memories are more than worth all that work!

Here's to a FANTASTIC Paw Print!!

*and to me not chairing next year!*
